For the convenience of the sisters engaged in Anakkara hospital service, on 26/06/2001, a convent was opened close to the hospital and named 'Alphonsa Bhavan'. In addition to hospital service the sisters work hard for the spiritual,mental, and social welfare of the people. The chapel is there in the midle of the hospital and the Holymass is celebrated once a week and it is beneficial to the patients and their bystanders. As part of the palliative care service, sisters visit the families of the patients and give counselling  and necessary services. The convent remains as a refuge for the sick, weak and rejected from all communities in the region.
