On 3rd July 1979 a branch of FCC was opened at Chenappady of Tharakanattukunnu,  a scenic village bordered by wild rivulets, thanks to the earnest entreaties of the parishioners and blessed by Mar Joseph Powathil the Bishop of Kanjirappally. In 2008 San Thom Enghish Medium School was opened as per the desire of the  people. Classes from LKG to  IV are currently offered and going on well. The sisters are working in this school and St. Antony's L.P School of the Parish. In addition to teaching, sisters offer their service for the social, spiritual and mental progress of the people by leading devotee organizations, family prayer fellowships, awareness programmes against the menace of drug addiction and alcoholism. There is more dynamism and progress in the locality due to the activities of the sisters.
