St.Pius X Clarist Convent Thekkemala was opened on 3rd July 1961 as a branch of Little Flower Convent Peruvanthanam. At first the sisters were given accommedation in a small house belonging to a parishioner. In course of time they bought a plot of land and constructed a convent building with the generous help and wholehearted support of the parish priests and the local people. The new house was blessed and inaugrated on 7th February 1971.The people greatly appreciate the presence and dedicated service of the sisters at school and in various pastoral and develpomental programmes.
