  Kochara is a remote area in the High Ranges bordering Tamil Nadu. A branch of FCC Assisi Bhavan clarist convent was established there in 1977 with the selfless help and support of the parish priest and people of all sects. Sisters started teaching in the primary school of the parish. Now they are active in parish work, teaching, conducting tailoring and nursery school, home mission, family welfare activities etc. The convent is a blessing to all the people around.
