Assisi Krupa Bhavan, Mundakkayam was opened on 23rd November 2002 with the blessings of Mar Mathew Arackal, Bishop of Kanjirapally, to offer a refuge to the people especially women who are exclusively at the mercy of others and being vanished from the entire gamut of activities of life. So far 126 people were given refuge in the house, of which 73 were rehabilitated in their own houses after tracing out and counselling the family memebers and 26 people peacefully faded into eternal peace. Now 31 dependants are Assisi Krupa Bhavan's own. The expense of the home are met by the province, which is supplemented by individuals, industrial houses, prayer groups etc irrespective of faith and political divisions. Geriatric day is celebrated every year and the inmates are honoured by the people around. On 12/01/2012 two inmates were baptized on their own voliation and free will. We gratefully bow our heads to God, who cared for the last twelve years, with a shower of blessing, love and mercy.
