  Realizing the deep-felt desire of the parish priest and the parishioners of Mlamala a branch of FCC was established on 27/05/1957. A primary school was also started  which gradually developed in to Fathima Matha High School. The sisters worked hard in co-operation with the Parish priest, the parishioners and the people of the locality for the spiritual, moral and material progress of all of them. A creche has been functioning under the supervision of the sisters and with the support of the Social Welfare Board of the state. In 23/05/2003 an English medium school was started at the request of the people for providing quality education to their children. Now Vimal  Jyothy English medium school offers classes from LKG to std VII. The sisters are engaged in teaching in the school, doing parish ministry and various other humanitarian activities.
