This Convent was established on 6th January 1981. Four sisters who wanted to lead a specially simple life of prayer and penance started living here in a small house belonging to the parish church. They shifted to a house of their own in 1984. Yielding to the demands of the people a nursery school was opened on 18/01/1981. In 1983 a high school was opened at Chinnar and the sisters extended  their services to the school. Now the sisters are engaged in teaching and pastoral and social welfare activities.  Nazarath Bhavan is always there as a palpable blessing to the people.
